One of top cities of Croatia is Split and its most renowned attractions is Diocletian’s Palace. The palace became the part of the World Heritage Site. Emperor Diocletian was Dalmatia’s most outstanding contributor to the Roman empire. After retiring near Split he decided to built this monumental fortified palace which he began to built in 295 and it took 10 years to finish the construction .

Not far from Split lies the ancient city of Trogir. It is also a world heritage site with its a maze of cobblestone streets. Its rich culture was created under Greek, Roman, Venetian influence . The old town lies on an island between the mainland and the island of Ciovo which bridges connect to each other. The crooked streets hide many restaurants and coffee shops , shops and shuttered residences and outside the city walls is a waterfront promenade lined with yachts and dominated by a medieval fortress which was once connected to the city walls. The wider area of Trogir are characterized by lavish green areas, numerous  islands and islets, rocky and pebble beaches.

Krka National Park is one of the Croatian national parks which got its name from the river Krka. The city is located in Dalmatia just a few kilometers northeast of Šibenik. There are several places of interest inside the park: Skradinski Buk is one of the most visited parts of the park with  various footpaths, sightseeing tours and boat trips. The second most popular attraction of the Krka National Park is Roški Slap. Its peaks and falls can be viewed all year around . Franciscans founded the  Roman Catholic Visovac Monastery in 1445 which lies on the island of Visovac inside the park. The island itself can be visited by a boat tour from Skradinski Buk. The Krka monastery is the center of the Orthodox Dalmatian Eparchy and it is a spiritual center of the Orthodox Dalmatian Eparchy. The monastery was first written about in the year 1402 and was rebuilt until the late 1800s. There are also several archeological remains dating back to the Roman times such places as ÄŒuÄevo, NeÄven, BogoÄin, KljuÄica and Burnum.

The Plitvice Lakes National Park is probably Croatia’s most popular tourist sight . It is embraced by three mountains which are part of the Dinaric Alps. Natural dams separate the lakes and all the 16 of them are renowned for their distinctive colours. The forests in the playground are the habitat of bears, wolves and quite a few uncommon bird species

The Atlantic region of France has an endless coastline is a playground for those interested in water sports . Biarritz is a city lying on the Bay of Biscay in the south western part of France. It is a luxurious seaside town and is popular with vacationers and surfers and has lost none of its charm. Quite close to Biarritz is the Dune du Pilat in Arcachon, one of the biggest sand dunes on the continent . On their slopes summer snowboarding and paragliding are available .

Moving westward the ancient towns are the scenery of the western Mediterranean coast, on the Golfe du Lion. Heading north to Brittany and Normandy you can bump into craggy coves, rugged cliffs and hidden beaches. Visitors experience the archetypal nature of France here.
