Step 1

Do you like eating vegetables?Give priority to those prized for incredible flavor when eaten fresh from the garden: sweet corn, beans and peas, tomatoes and young spinach, among others.      

Step 2

Make sure you have a smooth ground in your Gardens Calgary where the sun can easily warm it up.Break up and turn the soil and add compost or other organic material.A full day of blazing sunshine is especially important if you grow vegetables in the cool weather of early spring, early fall or winter.

Determine the expanse of your garden and find out how you’re gong to plant. Tomatoes can be spaced by around one and a half feet, while lettuce can be cultured in a level mat. Give pumpkins at least 4 feet (120 cm) of growing room. These information are easily available in the labels of the seeds you buy in stores. You can also ask from the shop owners.

Step 4

Plants shrubs that does not require too much space if you’re garden is small. Lettuce is a great pot plant, and ‘Patio’ or ‘Tumbler’ tomatoes will grow well in a hanging basket. Plants that climb and vine, such as cucumbers and pole beans, can be trained up a trellis to take up less room horizontally. Gather in a flowerbed the basil herbs.  

Step 5
 
Line up the way you’re going to grow the different crops according to the season in your region. Common cool-season vegetables include beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, lettuce, peas, potatoes, radishes, spinach and turnips. Some crops you can sow in the summer are the cucumbers, beans, eggplants and pumpkins. You can also plant tomatoes, squash, bell peppers and sweet corn. 

Step 6
 
Why not set out the seeds in the ground, directly. They usually grow faster that way. You can do this with the following crops: peas, turnips, corn, chard, beans and pumpkins. You will probably spend more in planting seedlings so you’re better off with the starting seeds.  

Step 7

Start with nursery seedlings of certain other crops unless you are an experienced vegetable grower. Some examples of nursery seedlings are peppers, tomatoes, cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli. Squash and cucumbers are among a few you can plant just as effectively as either seeds or seedlings.   

Step 8

New year is the best time to order the seedlings and seeds for shops usually have fresh selections. Look for seed packets marked as having been packed for the current year.   

Step 9
 
You can look online for the crops that you want your garden. Also, some websites give you the option to order in some online form.   

Step 10

Order the seeds after you’ve cultured the soil.  

Make sure they have enough water and they don’t dry up.

Buy healthy and vigorous seedlings. These seedlings should stand straight and not lanky and should be more stocky. There should also be no holes damaged by the bugs.

Shop for some fish pond supplies as well for your garden pond. These are necessary supplies too for the overall efficiency of your garden.

What qualifies me to give you information?

I come from Calgary Alberta, Canada and I am involved with Gardens Calgary Landscapes design. My experience in this field has shown me that this form of landscaping not only requires skill but also an eye for art. 

 There are many scopes of Landscaping projects out there. Some  folks may want to design just a patio for their new Landscape and others may want an entirely new backyard landscape.

So, my recommendation is to get a landscape design for pretty much any scope of project in your yard and get your materials from a Koi ponds supply. What you have to decide is if you can do it yourself or if you need to hire a pro.

 You can answer the following questions to determine if you have what it takes to be a Landscape Designer. 

 Do you know how to draw?   

This is super important. Every professional landscape designer in will come up with a scale drawing.

 It is important to see the shape of your yard BEFORE you start to build. Think of the drawing in stone analogy.  

 Not only do you want to see the shape of your newly designed landscape, you need it scaled so that you make sure your proportions are correct. Nothing is worse than building a patio two feet short of which a table could fit.

 Technological advancements have spread its feet in every field. You can take advantage of the advancements by buying a software program that can help you in designing the right landscape for your backyard. The best thing about these software is they are extremely easy to use. 

2) What is your plant knowledge?

 Plants usually have long lifespan especially trees but in older neighborhoods we see that beautiful and fully matured trees and plants need to be cut down only because of the spacing problems 

 A professional landscaper will help you in investing in plants on long term basis. For example a tree can take up to 25 years to mature completely and hence you can invest in them without fear of losing your investment for a long time.  

Plants need to harmonize with the natural surrounding landscape.

 This will not only allow the plants to grow but also give give a fresher look to your landscape.  

In the area in which I live, there are many beautiful Calgary Garden Gardens in Calgary. The best Gardens all had a sound plan!

 Landscape redesigning in your backyard is not an easy task and hence needs special consideration and time to design a place for yourself and your family to enjoy for many years ahead
