Romantic Spanish Phrases To Add Latin Passion To Spanish

When it comes to affairs of the heart, Latin people are renowned as having an intense passion for love and romance is a major factor in winning hearts. In this article, you’re going to discover several vibrant romantic Spanish language phrases that will give you an idea of how brilliantly vivid and inventive Spanish can be that are so simple to sprinkle into your Spanish.

Bueno, before you can feel love you have to get together with someone. That’s for sure yes? In Spanish, the phrase is:

Echarse un/a novio/a – To find oneself a boyfriend/girlfriend.

Once you’ve found them you can choose to either have a fun relationship called: un ligue, or a more serious relationship – una historia, also referred to as: una relación. In a fun relationship, the individuals involved are also called “un ligue” which is very confusing!

To ask someone out, here is a Spanish phrase that is used the most often all around the Hispanic world:

¿Qué tal si damos una vuelta? – How about we go for a walk/ride?

Such a simple phrase and with any luck, it will win you a new partner so let’s look at how you can woo them further with a few nice romantic, easy Spanish phrases. These will do the job nicely:

Corazón, mi corazón – Heart, my heart.

Tesoro, mi tesorito – Treasure, my little treasure.

Mi principe azul/Mi princesea – My Prince charming/My Princess.

Luz de mi vida – Light of my life.

El hombre/La mujer de mis sueños – The man/woman of my dreams.

All of these are nice romantic ways to refer to your sweetheart, and all of them are used commonly.

Pick-up lines are called “piropos” in Spanish, so to bring this article to an end, we’ll have two of my favorite Spanish romantic phrases that are piropos. Priopos must number in the thousand and they include the side-splittingly funny, the erotic, the romantic and the corny! Here’s a favorite piropo of mine I’ll use more than any other as it always wins me a smile if nothing else!

¡Qué curvas – y yo sin freno! – What curves – and I’m without brakes!

And a piropo for the ladies that I have no doubt will become one of most romantic Spanish phrases they’ll use often:

Eres mi príncipe y siempre lo serás, y yo tú princesa hasta la eternidad – You are my Prince and you always will be and I your Princess until eternity.

I might be wrong on that…!

Enjoy playing around with these romantic Spanish phrases, introduce them to your Spanish vocabulary and they’ll earn you a lot of respect and maybe more…!
